Each holiday, there would always be a visit to St. Mungo's to see the grandparents. Grandparents that had been tortured into insanity by death eaters. Each of the kids taken there were upset by it. They were usually silent whenever they visited their grandparents. All except one were like that. As a youngster, the only one grew interested by the state of his grandparents. How they could go from being fully functioning adults and only one curse had turned them into a vegetative state practically. With that curiosity, the child had taken to reading books about the dark arts. Before Hogwarts was to begin, he had helped around the Leaky Cauldron, so he was usually always found in Diagon Alley. During those years, he was picked on by anyone that was a bully pretty much. The reason being that he was quite scrawny compared to anyone else in those years. With the bullying getting to him, it was the main reason that he began reading about the dark arts. A year ago when everything began to happen, he was approached by someone about joining the death eaters. It was not exactly like a job offer, more a wand to his throat and if he didn't say yes, he would have been killed. Even if he had not been threatened, Darius Longbottom would have wanted to be a death eater anyways. His interest in dark arts had still been growing and he wanted to learn more. Despite his age, he proved useful to the death eaters by giving them information about really any order family that they wanted information about. It had been about two weeks since they had managed to take a member of the Potter family. Lily Potter to be exact. The two had been friends since before Hogwarts. Considering how close they were in age, the two were probably the closest out of the two families. The place that they were keeping her would have only been found those who knew where it was. It wasn't even in Britain which made it's location a bit out of reach to the aurors and ministry. Darius had only gotten the chance to leave Hogwarts for the weekend since his parents had wanted him home for the weekend to talk to aurors about Lily. If it hadn't been for that, he would not have been at the place where they were keeping her. The home had been in the family of the head death eater, unknowingly, for many centuries. It was full of dark magic items and quite large, large enough to shelter a large amount of death eaters. As he walked to the room where Lily was held, his footsteps were heard along with the sound of a water drop dripping onto the ground. Clearly wherever she was being held, was similar to the dungeons in Hogwarts.

Lily sat, curled up in the corner of her cell. It had been two weeks. Two weeks since she had been kidnapped. Two weeks of continuous torture. Two weeks of being raped. She was a shell of the person she had been before. Her dad was gone...Teddy was gone. She felt like she had nothing else to live for. They couldn't crack her. The thought brought a smile onto her split lips. Of course, getting into her head wasn't necessarily difficult. However, she wasn't told majorly important things, anyway, because she was still in school. Leaning her head against the stone wall, she closed her eyes. This morning, they had started out with the cruciatus curse until she fell unconscious. Then, they began to kick her until she woke up. She tried to remember how she had been taken, who had captured her. The whole situation at the beginning was a complete blur. Lily had began praying that they'd just kill her. If this was how she was going to live for the rest of her life, she wanted to die. Everything that was innocent about her, had been violently ripped away from her. Everything had been taken from her. Turning her wrist over, her fingers brushed over the lightening bolt that had been carved into her flesh. It was still bloody and healing. Probably infected, too. It's intention had been to mock her father, but it only made her proud. Lily laughed at them. Her father had helped bring them down once before. It was only a matter of time before the DA figured out where she was and who was in charge. She may not be alive, then, but they would find out. The sound of footsteps made her tense up. It had been a while since she had been...visited. When her eyes finally adjusted to the dark surroundings, the figure that appeared made her stand immediately, rushing over to the door. "Darius?!" Tears stung her navy eyes, her heart racing. "How..?! How did you find me, where is everyone??" The smile began to fade as she noticed that the expression on his face never changed. "You...you!" she bellowed. "You're helping them." She stated simply, her voice hoarse.

The two weeks had been quite eventful for everyone. They had went along with numerous amounts of torture besides the cruciatus curse, relying on other methods to torture the girl. The one method that the other death eaters had thought of, he never took part in. It wasn't something he was interested in participating in nor did he think it was torture to do that for two weeks. The lightning bolt scar on her wrist? That was something that he suggested before they had even kidnapped her when ideas were being thrown around about torture. Her kidnapping was something that was planned long before Harry's death. It wouldn't have been a complete package to ruin the world's hopes in the Potters unless something was done to all of them. Even if it meant betraying a friend. The other two Potters, of course there were plans for them. Different ones varying in different forms. The Malfoys had been something that everyone had been talking about since it was found out that Narcissa Malfoy had been the one piece of the puzzle that led to Voldemort's defeat. Power was something that many people desired, certainly something that he craved. If giving up a few friends along the way was what it took, so be it. Reaching where she had been held, he stood outside the door. She had ran to the door, believing that he was there to save her. Silly girl he thought as he stood there with a blank expression at first though a smile did appear as her own smile faded. It was definitely not a welcoming smile, more of a sinister one. She began to bellow at him in her hoarse voice. Darius said, "Lily..Lily..Lily...you honestly think everyone is innocent in this just because Daddy and Mommy fought the dark lord back in the day?" He opened the door and with a small mutter, he used the infamous spell that her father used to knock her back away from the door. His wand was in his right hand, him clutching onto it. Another mutter under his breath and another spell was used on her. This time, a curse. One he had read about in a dark arts book. Not everyone knew about all the dark arts curses, they always thought there were a few and that was it. This curse was one that would've had heard screaming within a matter of seconds. The curse being one that caused it to feel as if her hair was being pulled out and it literally was. As long as he kept his attention on her, she was powerless for the moment. He said, "I wouldn't be here to help you. After all, I'm the one who led them to you." The day that she had been kidnapped, he had asked her to meet him in London. Timing would have been a great indicator of who had led them to her since it was before they were due to go back to Hogwarts.

Shock reverberated through her as she stepped back, looking at the monster in front of her. It was like his eyes had glossed over. Like something else was in control, but it was no imperius curse. His words stung her. Her own her venomous in her mouth. "My father killed Voldemort. My parents and family fought to defeat him, like they will fight to defeat you and all of your other little fucked up friends." Taking a step back, Lily shook her head in disgust. Anything he did to her, couldn't be worse than what his friends had done. "What a huge disappointment you are. You're disgusting," she spat. When the door opened, she took one more step back before a spell pierced her chest, sending her flying back into the wall. With her mouth ajar, she inhaled sharply, her hands moving to her chest and stomach, seeing the blood appear in slashes through her shirt. Beginning to cough up blood and feeling the pain beginning to grow, she was hit with a curse. Screaming at the top of her lungs, her bloody hands reached up to her head as she curled into fetal position on the ground. "STOP IT! PLEASE," she begged, feeling herself choking. Lily's hand reached out subtlety, grabbing a stone that had been on the ground before throwing it at him; anything to distract him. When she felt his attention fade, she forced herself to a sitting position, still sobbing and fighting for air. Beginning to crawl towards him, she reached out for his wand. "There's a special place in Hell for you...and you are going to burn. She spat beside him, blood speckling his face.

He had laughed when she had brought up Harry defeating Voldemort and how everyone was going to defeat the new dark lord. Darius said, "And where is your father? I believe lying in a coffin somewhere. And you think you're perfect? You're just as fucked up as the rest of us now. Just wait, you'll see the similarities." She claimed that he was a disappointment which if everyone knew about him, he would have been considered a disappointment. His family had been known for being the brave ones like the Potters. It was known by now that the prophecy that Sybill had made before either Neville or Harry were, that Neville was another candidate to be the chosen one. The one to defeat Voldemort though instead everything had led to Harry being that one. Neville's parents had defied Voldemort three times before being tortured to insanity. Even Darius' great grandmother had fought in the battle of Hogwarts despite her age. Not one of them had turned out to be horrible until Darius. Luckily for him, he was sorted into a house that easily hid his differences. Slytherin would have pointed him right out to his family. The saying was that there wasn't a witch or wizard that didn't go bad in Slytherin. He didn't say anything instead resorting to opening the door and hitting her with a spell. Correction, a curse. The blood didn't take long to soak through her shirt from the curse. Following that curse, he used another curse on her which had her screaming in the fetal position on the ground. She threw a stone at him which would have hit his arm though he moved, the attention to her broken. Lily had begun crawling towards and he didn't move from where he stood. She began to speak again, spatting at him and blooding ending up on his face from her. Darius said, "Well at least I'll have plenty of company." Despite seeming a bit less attentive to her, he knew she was going for his wand. It didn't long for his left foot to kick her in the stomach before he kicked her in the back to avoid her grabbing his foot. Stepping back a few steps, he said, "You could've made this easier on yourself, if you'd just cooperate." He wiped the blood that had speckled his face, it now going down his face in one mark versus small speckles. Considering everything she had gone through, he was perhaps the most tame one out of the group though that was left to be judged.
