Some could say that the reason that Jason never became an auror over a hit wizard was due to his grades. It appeared to some that aurors needed higher grades than a hit wizard from Hogwarts. It was a complete lie. Instead, he had chosen the more dangerous job. As a hit wizard, there was even a bed reserved for him at St. Mungo's. After seeing his girlfriend die at the age of seventeen in front of him, he believed the more dangerous one out of the two options was the best choice. It was the best way to honor her death by taking the biggest risks to ensure she didn't die in vain. Some people would have believed that to be the dumbest thing to do, take a job with a reserved bed in St. Mungo's. Other people would have found sense in it because he was a former Gryffindor. Girls always seemed to be the cause of his troubles. After getting out of his second relationship, he had spent most of his time with girls in different ways. That meant short term relationships or one night stands, sometimes it meant stealing a girl from a guy. Not the stealing where someone would convince a girl to cheat on their boyfriend. No, he had that sense of respect for the other guys out there. It was the type where a guy would be flirting with a girl and he would walk over, getting the girl's attention. That type of behavior often ended up in a fight or argument that sometimes led to trouble for Jason. Other moments of trouble with girls would be when he would find himself in a lie. Jason was an excellent liar. It was something that he used to enable himself as a order member, lying about who he was. Yes, he was well known in the wizarding world. However, only to those that had paid attention to quidditch from Hogwarts. Due to that, he had been capable of lying about who he was to several girls. Sometimes, they would find out, if someone that he knew well would come up to him. That was an event that often led to a slap in the face by the girl to him. Sadly those moments when he did lie to a girl, it wasn't due to the fact that he loved to hurt girls. That believed fact was false. It was the reason that he lied to find out information for the order or the fact that he was watching someone for the order when they had ended up talking to him. It was an ugly trait to have, that of an excellent liar, but someone had to do it. The order was important enough to him that he was not going to spare a few feelings of some girls. Despite how much guilt he felt about it later on.
His complicated history with girls was probably the reason that he was seated alone at the bar. Jason didn't blame the girls, he would've left them, if they were just like him. Very few girls understood that what he did was to protect himself from them discovering the truth. The fact that he had picked a side in the decision, if muggles would join the wizarding world or not in their knowledge. Seated in the muggle bar, he had known that his place was to defend that right and not to do the opposite. If he had done the opposite, he would have been out praising whatever the death eaters had left of Voldemort perhaps. Shortly after the bartender had left a beer in front of him, that was when he felt the hand on his back. The hand of a woman judging from the touch of her hand, soft. He looked over at the stranger on his left as she began to speak. She mentioned that she wanted to ditch her friend by pretending she wasn't ditching her. Interesting scenario since it was rare for him to not lie. She was very attractive, he had to give her that. The woman wore a large smile, it was fake. He knew that because well, he was an excellent liar. He could tell when someone was pretending, signs that he avoided himself. Regardless, he had a smile on his face. Not a fake smile, she was beautiful. Jason said softly, "I'll play along." The soft voice was so there was no chance that the woman's friend could hear him. The smile on his face and the fact that he had responded to the girl, was a chance that the friend would believe in the two knowing each other. She spoke in a loud voice saying that it was great to see him too and then reached across to hug him. Jason reached over and hugged the woman. It was not normal to hug a stranger, something he knew. However, he was willing to play along to her little game. He was a bit clueless as to why, but she hadn't killed him yet which was a sign that she wasn't a psychotic person. When he had reached over to hug her, he kissed on the cheek and then pulled away from her. He said, "Great seeing you here too, how have you been?" It was in a voice that matched hers in volume, so the friend could believe them more. Jason said, "Well played, especially with the fake smile. The kiss was a sort of payment for playing along and it appears your friend has turned her attention off of you." His blue eyes had looked over the woman in front of him for a moment to see the girl, who had looked in their direction, had turned her head away. The fact that she hadn't walked over, meant that she believed them. The question was what would come of her walking over to him now that he had served his purpose? He turned his attention back to his beer, drinking the majority of it as he waited for her to say something or to walk away. Even if she walked away, he most likely would have followed her. this character is played by SAN |
