Morgan should have known that after the battle she would be receiving a letter from Vince. When they were together he constantly looked out for her and she was a bit surprised when it took him this long to get in contact with her. Yes, before this she probably would have never answered his letters but she couldn’t ignore this one when he asked about her wellbeing. She knew answering would lead to more conversation but if Morgan was honest with herself she would admit that she missed Vince. She missed talking with him, having him around, holding his hand and even his possessiveness over her. Agreeing to meet him in Hogsmeade she knew was a big step for both of them. They were both going to try to work on this relationship and Morgan wanted more than anything to be able to trust Vince once more. He had been her best friend and it has been a sad few months without him by her side. That one night he slipped up had absolutely crushed Morgan into a million different pieces and she had only recently managed to glue everything back together. This would be Vince’s last shot at making things right between them.

The only reason Morgan ventured down to Hogsmeade was because Vincent wanted to meet her here. She was perfectly fine staying away from the demolished wizarding town until her seventh year but she had to see Vince. If she saw him she would feel much better because he kept her grounded. She had always been afraid of her shadow after an abusive childhood but with Vince around she felt like she had no reason to be afraid. Sure he was her first serious boyfriend and she was young but she was sure she was in love with the guy. That was why when he cheated on her it made the heartbreak that much harder.

It didn’t take long for Morgan to see Vince standing near the area where the Three Broomsticks used to stand. She had done her best on the way down here to not let her eyes wander but it was far too easy to recognize the destruction. It terrified her that fellow students were killed here and that the Harbingers still hadn’t been stopped. Would things keep escalating? When she was a few yards away from Vincent, her pace quickened and she tried not to grin too brightly seeing him. Still as handsome as ever and her heart rate picked up just seeing him there. She stood in front of him giving him some space and keeping inside her own personal bubble. How did this work? Hand shake? Hug? No kissing that was for sure. She left that to relationships. “Hey Vinny,” Morgan greeted using his nickname since she felt like Vincent was too formal and everyone called him Vince. She wanted to stand out a bit. “Umm…thanks for agreeing to meet me.” It was more of a mutual agreement for them to hang out but it was still nice he made time for her.
